These regulations have been drawn up to guarantee safety, peace, order and hygiene in the ice rink, so that every visitor can enjoy a pleasant stay at IJsbaan Leuven. The rules apply to all visitors regardless of whether or not the visit takes place during public hours. By purchasing a ticket or subscription you agree to all directions and regulations described in the regulations, this also applies to all verbal directions and guidelines that you will be communicated during your visit by the supervisory staff of IJsbaan Leuven.
- The ice rink is only accessible to the public during the established opening hours as published on our website. The ice rink reserves the right to change these hours without giving reasons and without prior notice.
- Only the rates as published on www.ijsbaanleuven.be/tarieven are valid.
- Children under 12 years of age, not accompanied by a responsible supervisor, can be refused.
- Every group, association or school that uses the Leuven Ice Rink must be accompanied by a responsible supervisor. This supervisor ensures good order and compliance with the rules and regulations. The person responsible remains on site until after the activities.
- Access will not be granted to people who show signs of intoxication or whose behavior is offensive.
- Persons who, through their attitude and / or use of language, can damage the reputation of Ice Rink Leuven, will be requested to leave it immediately and without the right to reimbursement or any compensation.
- It is prohibited:
- Smoking in the entire building.
- Bring alcoholic drinks.
- To go to places and rooms that are not accessible to the public.
- Drinks or meals to be consumed in the building, with the exception of products purchased at IJsbaan Leuven.
- Entering the ice rink without skates.
- Disrupt the good order by hindering, pushing or causing other skaters to fall.
- Enter the ice rink with any object that could potentially endanger themselves or other users.
- Play or skate hand in hand with more than 2 people.
- Sit on the boards or stand on the benches with skates.
- Enter the demarcated area of the ice rink. Ice rink Leuven reserves the right to demarcate a section of the ice rink during public skating sessions for skating lessons led by monitors, in collaboration with the house clubs.
- Compensation can be claimed for damage caused to buildings, material or equipment.
- For safety reasons, it is recommended to wear gloves while skating.
- The public is only allowed in the stands or at places designated by Ice Rink Leuven staff. The public is obliged to follow the instructions of the Ice Rink Leuven personnel.
- In the event of an accident, the Leuven Ice Rink staff must be notified immediately.
- When renting skates, one is obliged to pledge their own shoes for the duration of the loan.
- At the end of the skating session, the ice rink must be left immediately.
- Waste must be disposed of in the appropriate waste bins.
- Ice rink Leuven is not responsible for any accidents, theft or loss of and damage to equipment belonging to the user.
- In the event of damage caused by the user to the buildings, the contents or the equipment of Ice Rink Leuven or in the event of injury to personnel, co-users or third parties, Ice Rink Leuven can claim compensation. If the individual person in charge cannot be designated, the person in charge of the group / school / club will be held liable.
- In case of vandalism or misconduct, access to Ice Rink Leuven can be denied for a definite or indefinite period.
- Every visitor is expected to know the regulations.
- In case of violation of the regulations, the following sanctions can be imposed:
- Immediate removal from Leuven Ice Rink.
- Temporary ban on access to the Leuven Ice Rink.
- Definitive denial of access to Leuven Ice Rink.
- Call in the police.
The sanctions are taken by the management of Ice Rink Leuven. The reporting authority, competent for the territory of Leuven, will be engaged if necessary.
