The NV Wintersport was founded on 8 July 1981. Little information can be found about the initial period of the ice rink, which was then called Pirouette Leuven.

In 1993 the skating rink was taken over by Walter De Decker, who was also the manager of the Gamma on the Tiensesteenweg.
In 2000 there was another takeover by the current operators.
